MACON, Ga. (WGXA) – A wanted man is now in custody after a standoff at a Macon business this morning, according to the Bibb County Sheriff.
Just before 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, officers received a report of a man trespassing at a business in the 4000 block of Broadway.
When officers arrived on scene, the man had barricaded himself inside the trailer, police said.
Police identified the man as Christopher Todd Barrow, 49, of Macon.
According to police reports, Vallow had an outstanding warrant for his arrest in Toombs County, refused to leave the trailer, and threatened to shoot police when they went inside to remove him.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team, K-9 interdiction unit, hostage negotiators and investigators all responded to the scene.
After determining that Vallow was alone inside the trailer, SWAT officers responded and arrested him, and a gun was found inside the trailer, according to the sheriff’s office.
Paramedics treated Mr Barrow for minor injuries at the scene.
Barrow was transported to the Bibb County Jail and charged with terrorism and criminal intimidation on a Toombs County warrant.
