PIERRE — Dakota Valley and Gayville-Volin earned the top seeds in their respective regions as the South Dakota High School Activities Association announced Class A and Class B regional play.
Regionals begin Nov. 4 for Class B and Nov. 5 for Class A. The final regional round is Thursday, November 7th, with the winner advancing to SoDak 16 on Tuesday, November 12th.
Gabil-Volin (26-4) is the top seed in Region 4B and is the winner of the opening round game between No. 8 seed Viborg Hurley (7-18) and Alster Hudson (7-19). Waiting for. Parkston (19-12) is the second seed and awaits the winner of third-seeded Freeman Academy vs. Marion (10-15) and Eileen Wakonda (5-18). Meno (16-10) is the No. 3 seed and awaits the winner of No. 6 seed Freeman (10-16) and Scotland (3-23). The other second-round game will pit fourth-seeded Centerville (15-12) against Tripp Delmont-Armor (16-12). Both SoDak 16 qualifying matches will be held in Irene on November 7th.
Dakota Valley is the top seed in Region 4A and awaits the winner of the opener between No. 4 seeds Canton (19-9) and Lenox (18-12). Second-seeded Elk Point Jefferson (30-4) hosts Vermilion (2-24), while third-seeded Sioux Falls Christian (22-12) hosts opposing Beresford (13-0). 18 losses).
