Some “A-list” celebrities are reportedly considering leaving the United States because Trump has been re-elected as president. President Trump will serve another four years in office, after which someone else will be elected to replace him. No one is in the White House forever.
Notice that the pendulum swings. If President Trump’s four years don’t go well, America will probably elect a Democrat. Predicting elections is not easy. Look at this past election. Many Americans, including myself, were led to believe that Kamala Harris had a chance to win. Almost every day, ABC, CBS, NBC, and CNN lied to the American people about their polling numbers. Or maybe the pollsters were lying to the networks. Every day, it sounded like either Ms. Harris’ lead was very small, or Ms. Harris and Mr. Trump were tied. Fox News continued to report that Trump was in the lead, but it started to sound like they were pulling ABC and fabricating statistics that were just as bad as the rest of the world. On election day, we learned that Fox’s news source must have been better because Trump won by a landslide. So who knows what will happen in four years?
It’s insane when people throw tantrums and stomp their feet trying to leave the country, but do you ever have a door slam into your fanny on the way out? Now, please leave. Do you think the average American cares?
I don’t understand how someone who grew up in America, becomes a successful movie star, entertainer, businessman, makes millions, maybe billions of dollars, and then cries at Cheerios. Most of these entertainers who want to pack up and leave have made money from people in the United States. They live a luxurious lifestyle. It seems to me that they are very ungrateful and very spoiled. Italy, France, England, etc. are all great places, but they are not the countries that catapulted you to stardom or millionaire status.
What about gratitude? Thanksgiving will be a great opportunity for Hollywood icons to pause and thank America, the Amillian people, and all that America has done for them. This country isn’t perfect. Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Donald Trump, and Elon Musk are all good performers, but like all of us, they have their flaws. If we fold our tails and run because of a leadership change, how will we be able to make an impact when the leadership changes again in four years?
The early Pilgrims made sacrifices and risked their lives for America. They came here seeking religious freedom and a better life. They paid the price that paved the way for America to become the greatest nation in the world.
Every generation has to pay a price. Our beautiful freedoms and opportunities to enjoy all that America has to offer are the result of the hard work and lives given by our ancestors on battlefields around the world, so you and I can sit at the table and thank God and the many who have given us so much.
I like visiting other countries. There are beautiful people all over the world. But there is no place like America. There is much work to be done. Our new leaders have a lot of work ahead of them. Please pray for Donald Trump. Pray for new leaders. Let’s pray for this country and for each other. Let’s be grateful every day for every opportunity that comes our way.
May this Thanksgiving be the best one ever for you, and may all of us in America feel grateful and grateful.
