Celebrities are paying tribute to country music star Kris Kristofferson after his death at the age of 88.
On Sunday, September 29, news broke that Kristofferson had passed away at his home the day before. “We are all so happy to be with him,” his family said in a statement Sunday. “Thank you for loving him all these years. And when you see a rainbow, know that he’s smiling down on us all.”
Kyle Young, CEO of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, also honored Kristofferson via social media on Sunday. “Kris Kristofferson believed that creativity is a gift from God and that those who ignore such gifts are doomed to misfortune,” the statement reads. “He preached that the life of the mind gives voice to the soul, and his work gave voice not only to his soul but to ours as well. He left a great legacy.”
