If you’ve ever wondered which parts of New Zealand people have the most sex, you’re in luck. A new sexual environment study has peeked behind the curtain at New Zealanders’ bedroom habits and has some surprising findings.
Supplement brand Herbal Ignite conducted a survey with 200 anonymous participants across Aotearoa to determine their sexual satisfaction.
The study found Auckland and Waikato to be the most sexually active regions, with more than half (55%) of residents having sex at least once a week.
However, sex rates began to decline as we moved north. Northland good people were found to be the least sexually active, with just 29% having sex at least once a week. Canterbury, Hawke’s Bay and Bay of Plenty were in second-last place, all with 34%, while Southland and Otago were third with 39%. It’s not just the weather that’s crazy about Wellington. Wellington was the second sexiest region at 45%.
Of all participants, 7% of Kiwis had sex every day, and 29% rarely or never had sex. Regarding the frequency of sexual activity, 41% had sex once or several times a week, and 17% had sex once or twice a month.
