John Leguizamo doesn’t think Taylor Swift’s endorsement is enough for Kamala Harris to beat Donald Trump in November … he says they also need celebrities from the Latino community.
The actor appeared on “TMZ Live” to talk about what Kamala needs to do to garner support from Latino voters … and he thinks an endorsement from Bad Bunny or America Ferrera might help.
Taylor announced her vote for Kamala minutes into the first presidential debate in what was seen as a major win for the Democratic candidate, but John, who produced a new PBS documentary on Latin American history, said she will need the Latino vote to win.
Of course, Taylor is a big star in the US, but John says Bad Bunny is even bigger…at least on the world stage…and if he were to endorse Harris, he thinks BB’s popularity in the Latino community would sway many young Latino voters to Kamala.
While Trump appears to be trending upward among Latino voters, Kamala’s approval rating in this key demographic is lower than Joe Biden’s in 2020. John spoke with us about what else Harris needs to do to win the Latino vote and what the biggest political challenge is for Harris’ community.
As mentioned, John is producing a new three-part PBS series, “Voces American Historia: The Untold History of Latinos,” and we’ll be talking with him on Tuesday’s “TMZ Live” (click here for show times) about why he hopes the documentary will have a big impact on schools.
