Governor Pillen Announces Appointments to New Commission on Asian American Issues
LINCOLN, Nebraska – Today, Governor Jim Pillen announced 13 appointments to the newly created Commission on Asian American Affairs.
This committee was created through the passage of LB1300, which included a bill introduced by Sen. Rita Sanders. The term of membership is four years.
The commission coordinates programs relating to housing, education, welfare, employment and other issues related to Nebraska’s Asian American community and is overseen by a chair and four other executive members. The list of members is below. Final appointments to the committee, which has a total of 14 members, still remain.
