A luxury Italian floating yacht has become one of the biggest hits of the season on the used superyacht market. The mysterious N2H was completely hidden from the public until it underwent its first major renovation, after which it re-emerged on the market looking for a third owner. With such pedigree and a newly renovated exterior, this stunning floating mansion changed hands quickly, despite its exorbitant price.
Someone paid more than $25 million for a pre-owned superyacht just under 50 meters (160 feet) in length, and it’s easy to see why. For starters, N2H belongs to one of Italy’s most respected shipyards, Rossinavi. Though it’s a young company in the very specific field of luxury yacht construction, Rossinavi’s roots actually go back much further; the first shipyard was founded by the Rossi family in Viareggio back in the 1970s. Current owners of Rossinavi superyachts are considered part of an exclusive club, as there aren’t that many vessels under this brand.
N2H is one of the rarest Rossinavi pleasure craft ever built, which makes it special in itself. It’s also a relatively new vessel, having been built in 2017 and only used privately up until now. In fact, N2H was quite mysterious at the time, as her original interior had never been on public display. Dutch billionaire Kees Vermaat became the yacht’s second owner just four years after its debut, and has continued to keep this rare gem away from prying eyes.
Moreover, the Italian yacht also underwent a thorough refit before hitting the market, enough to justify its hefty price tag. N2H was taken back to its roots and brought to Amico Shipyards to give it a makeover. Renowned Italian firm Massari Design was brought in to completely refurbish N2H’s interior, a truly epic transformation with highlights including Andy Warhol artwork and priceless fabrics. On the outside, the refurbished beauty flaunts a masculine dark blue hull and white superstructure.
The 2017 Rossinavi was unveiled to the world for the first time, and the anticipation was real – it quickly found its third owner. In addition to a fresh look, the N2H boasts lavish amenities, including a stunning waterfall pool, luxurious accommodations for up to 10 guests, and an expansive outdoor entertainment area. The owner’s suite is fit for a king, and features two drop-down balconies, a separate office, a spacious lounge area, and best of all, breathtaking panoramic views.
Performance-wise, N2H is powered by two Caterpillar diesel engines and can cruise comfortably at 14 knots (26 kilometers per hour). The world of superyachts is changing quickly, and it’s not uncommon for a luxury pleasure craft to change hands three times in just seven years, with more to come. The only question is whether this new owner will keep N2H out of the spotlight, or share it with high-paying charterers.
