Check out the winners’ best moments from DraftKings’ NFL Week 3 Fantasy Football Millionaire Contest.
Many fantasy lineups had third-round wins this week, but it took a truly outstanding week to claim the top spot in the DraftKings Fantasy Football Millionaire for Week 3. The top entry this week comes from bruceleroygreen33, who combined a few choke plays with some contrarian options to pile up 240.14 fantasy points in his Week 3 “Crowning Moment.”
The top entries were:
The biggest name that had to be included in this week’s top lineup was the 49ers’ Jauan Jennings ($4,100, 49.5 FPTS), who scored three touchdowns and had 175 yards on 11 catches in the team’s loss. His 49.5 fantasy points were 12 more fantasy points than any other option on the board and made him a “must own” this week. He filled the big holes left by injuries to WR Deebo Samuel Sr. (calf) and TE George Kittle (hamstring) and played the best game of his career. Jennings was such a valuable player with such a heavy workload that he was owned in 14.1% of entries, the fourth-highest ownership rate among wide receivers in Fantasy Football Millionaire this week.
Not only did Jennings score three touchdowns, but he also made a spectacular catch over Rams defensive back Quentin Lake. His monster play was a big part of bruceleroygreen33’s “Best Moments” of Week 3.
The most owned player this week was Jennings’ teammate Jordan Mason ($6,200, 10.8 FPTS), who ranked in 50.4% of the entries. With Jennings scoring all of the touchdowns, Mason only managed to score 10.8 fantasy points.
For their winning entry, instead of selecting Mason, they opted to include three running backs in their backfield. While their entry didn’t include the top two running backs on the board, it was built around Kyren Williams ($6,500, 31.6 FPTS), Aaron Jones ($5,900, 28.8 FPTS) and Zach Charbonnet ($6,000, 25.7 FPTS). These three mid-range picks produced big games with over 100 yards rushing and receiving.
Williams led the Rams’ comeback with three scores and finished as the third-ranked running back. He also appeared in less than 3% of lineups, making him a key difference maker as receivers carried the load for an injury-riddled Rams. Williams also had the most memorable “big moment” of the day, when he front-flipped over the head of 49ers linebacker Fred Warner into the end zone.
But the late game wasn’t the only highlight for the winning entry. Another key contributor for the top entry was Diontaie Johnson ($4,900, 29.2 FPTS), who got a big boost when the Panthers benched QB Bryce Young and started with proven veteran Andy Dalton ($4,800, 27.56 FPTS) as the second-highest scoring receiver on the main slate.
bruceleroygreen33’s entry also included a strong stack from the Vikings’ big win over the Texans. Sam Darnold ($5,500, 23.24 FPTS) was a top-10 QB for the third straight week and threw four touchdown passes, including a score to Aaron Jones and a score to Justin Jefferson ($8,600, 20.1 FPTS). Those passes earned this entry double the points based on the correlation of including multiple scorers for Minnesota.
Tight end continues to be a tough position to judge with overall poor performances this season. Dallas Goedert ($4,600, 30 FPTS) was the big exception on Sunday. He finished the season with 30 fantasy points, but only one other tight end scored 16 or more points.
Goedert had to fill in for DeVonta Smith ($6,900; 14.9 FPTS) when he was sidelined with an injury (click here for the latest update). With AJ Brown already sidelined, Jalen Hurts ($7,300; 15.9 FPTS) targeted Goedert 11 times, and the tight end had 10 catches for 170 yards, setting a new Eagles record for a tight end. He was significantly better than other players at his position and was a key part of bruceleroygreen33’s “Crowning Moment.”
As we prepare for Week 4, it’s time to assemble your NFL $3.25M Fantasy Football Millionaire ($1 million to first place) roster.
