TULSA, Okla. – The Georgia Tech men’s tennis team began the ITA All-American qualifying round with two doubles matches but lost both.
Nate Bonnett and Gabriel Brancatelli took the first set 6-3 against UCLA’s Rudy Quan and Aadarsh Tripathi, then the UCLA pair won the second set 6-4 and the final tiebreaker 10-2.
Krish Arora and Richard Biagiotti also lost a match, losing 4-6, 4-6 to Luca Pau and Luciano Tacchi from Wake Forekt.
Despite the losses, the pairs will meet again in the round of 16 doubles matches on Tuesday, with Bonnet and Brancatelli taking on Tulsa’s Luis Felipe Miguel and Adam Vojkovic, and Arora and Biagiotti taking on Texas A&M’s Ethan Silva and Grant Lotringer.
