SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – On Monday night (Sept. 23rd), people of all ages and races came together for a special event inside a Shreveport church.
Arkansas State University’s Latino Market Reach Seminar was held Monday night at Broadmoor Baptist Church on Yulee Drive in Shreveport. Nearly a half-dozen speakers, including Shreveport Mayor Tom Arceneaux and Police Chief Wayne Smith, interacted with the audience. It was an opportunity for locals to learn more about Latino-owned businesses in the Shreveport-Bossier area. Bryant Garcia shares why the event was so important.
“It’s growing faster than any other demographic in the United States and in Shreveport. The Hispanic community in Shreveport-Bossier has grown exponentially over the last decade and it’s important for businesses, organizations, nonprofits and political ambitions to know the power and influence of the Hispanic community,” said Garcia, operations director for 318 Latino.
